Course Overview
This course will focus on the health and exercise of the ageing population and highlights the importance of understanding the physiology of ageing and the anatomical and physical considerations when programming for older clients. You will develop your understanding of common conditions and injuries as well as the risks of being sedentary. We will revisit risk stratification and explore why this is important for older adults. Falls prevention is an important component of programming for older clients and you will learn the physical benefits of falls prevention programs. Lastly you will examine common barriers to exercise for older adults and what you can do to help your clients overcome them.

About the Author
Allan Williams has worked in the health and fitness industry for over 15 years, both in the UK and Australia.
